Cybercrime Law Implementation is Impossible

The Philippines may be a small country but it has 30 million internet users, at least according to statistics. I believe there are more. So what now that the Cybercrime Law is on? How are they going to implement the law on more than 30 million people? There are also millions working abroad so how exactly?

The government has spent time with the specifics of this law, approved it despite all the protests. They basically did the impossible. However, how are they going to implement the law?

Unfortunately, this law may be one of the many laws passed in the Philippine congress or senate or whatever which will barely be felt. Maybe someone like Sen. Sotto who has experienced bullying over his alleged plagiarism acts will feel a little safer from online "bullies" but I guess that's pretty much it. Celebrities will also be safe now, I guess, from rumor-producing blogs and tweets and Facebook posts attacking them.

Oh well. Good luck to the Philippines.
